When preparing the files to start work on a project, you might want to get an accurate view of the work ahead. SDL Trados Studio has several ways to count the words inside one or more project files.

About this task

After files are added to a project, SDL Trados Studio displays the results of the word count performed during project preparation in the Files view.

Procedure

1. Go to the Projects view and double-click the project for which you want to run word counts on files.
2. In the Files view, select the Analysis Statistics tab at the bottom of the page.
3. Select a file.
4. In the Analysis Statistics tab switch between the options of your choice in the Display and Unit lists.
